40 miles is more than adequate. Oil changes every 2 years is not. Personally I’d have it done every 6 months regardless. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

just a theory based on my experience with the 4.4TDV8. I had poor regen and high oil dilution. my thermostat housing was damaged and the engine was running too cool to regen properly. New thermostat cured all. have a look at the number of attempted regens and the Thermostat (housing and gubbins). get them to test the internal running temp of the engine. If it is running cool (these do anyhow) then it may not be able to complete a full cycle, but pumps diesel into the engine, thus adding to the dilution. Just a theory mind. |
