Hi just found this forum what a fantastic source of information ,I just purchased a 2011 4.4tdv8,true to form after a few days developed a couple of faults non start intermittent, various messages about emergency brake assist, HDC stability control ,so i will need to look into these problems but these come and go randomly ,but what a car ,I brought it as a tow car for my race car I could not believe how nice it is to drive ,I have a Range rover classic that's a bit of an ongoing restoration project and a series 3 Land rover that I used to trial with Regards Bob

All those faults are indicative of a failing battery... these fatties are very sensitive to low voltage... It may just need a good charge off the vehicle if it's been sat at a dealers...  Pete

Welcome to the gang and you're right, this place is a goldmine of useful information. I had the same thing with my 2011 TDV8 a couple of months after I bought it - turns out that both the battery and the alternator needed to be replaced.
