Looking to to get the car detailed and paint corrected. Up to a stage 1 anyone you can recommend for this any photos mines a causeway grey.

Not sure what stage 1 means, but had mine detailed paint corrected and ceramic coated at ti22 in Chepstow. It’s the 4th car I’ve had done and James and his team have always done a great job for me. Mike - MPx

I had mine done from new with the full monty Gtechniq package, including interior. I forget the name but it was maybe £1200 3 years ago. It requires an annual top up which runs at £550 or so but successfully takes you back to brand new. It looks mint after even the simplest of washes. The black beside window areas is highly susceptible to scratching, but the annual correction to the coating handles it flawlessly. It is not impervious to stone chips, however. There are wrap type protections that can handle that but I didn’t fancy it at the time.

In the distant past I had paint correction and a simple ceramic coating on a 6 year old car. I was really impressed with the outcome and the longevity of the one-off coating. Another time I had a 5 year old black XJR paint corrected but no ceramic coating (I was selling it). Oh my god, I was stunned with the result, the paint was so black you could feel yourself falling head first into it. It sold immediately.

I had my car machine polished and but not ceramic coated. It cost £250 5 years ago and it still looks better than new. I used an Autoglym finish I think it’s called super gloss finishing a gold labelled bottle. Easy to apply and water still beads after all this time.
