Some pattern ones rust very quickly, genuine ones last a lot longer and they aren't that much

Buy from our site sponcor Duckworths and get at least 20% off and free postage...

Or go to Britpart for a pattern one... Pete

Advanced Factors are good for getting a break down of part numbers specific to each vehicle… once you have the part number use https://www.lrworkshop.com/ to source cheapest unit per brand Thumbs Up Cheers, Steven.

I’d avoid Britpart on recent experiences on a family owned L322 🤐 Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

In my experience, stretch to a genuine one - the aftermarket ones rust for fun and sometimes, aren’t even the correct length.

Also recommend applying some sort of grease or anti rust product (ACF50) on the bolt / washer and as far down the wire under the sleeve and under the rubber boots each end. Jonathan

Yes. Britpart ones not correct length.
Yes. Flip back the rubber covers and pack both ends with white grease and then flip back Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Just fitted the Britpart one as it arrived today. I’d say it was fractionally too long as the right cable takes the weight slightly earlier….. see how long it lasts…..

Not looked under the rubber cover on the right side cable yet. Been a bit manic as moving house. I dare say I’ll end up getting 2 genuine ones…..

I have the damper on the right side, but I dare say the Britpart ones might be ok if you had one each side, length wise anyway.
