It looks like the part missing is the symposer horn. Apparently a system used to make the engine sound better. On ours it would appear some of the hoses and resonator are missing.

Maybe that is US/Canada spec as mine didn't seem to have anything there...!!!

I have since removed the entire symposer, I needed to make a cover plate/plug to bolt to the intake/SC manifold where the symposer received its sound from the motor. I wonder if yours has a plug installed Haylands |

Very weird, never thought mine sounded that good anyway, the diesel I have now has a better engine note...!!!
