Wondered if anyone with topix access could do me a favour please?

Can lookups be done on UK reg number or VIN only? I'm just looking to confirm which of the Meridian systems is in a car I'm looking to buy, and actually possibly a complete build spec just to check it has everything else as advertised, test drove etc today, advertised as the signature system but wanted to be sure before I hand over the money - I should have checked speakers etc, didn't think to check until I got home and likely won't see it again now until collection.

You can run the registration through Car Vertical and it will give you everything, there is a cost.

From memory, you need the last 8 digits of the VIN to get the information from Topix and where is was once free, its not any longer.

Phone the seller and ask for the VIN, if they are genuine they will give you it...

1280W ? Not heard of that before.

The standard is 380W, the mid-level (standard on SE & AB) is 825W & the Signature is 1700W.

Does the spec sheet say anything like BRANDED REFERENCE SOUND (L5) ?

I believe L3 is standard, L4 Surround Sound and L5 is Signature.

Signature was a c£4k option so not a minor error in a listing.

Depending on whether you look at the build sheet in JLR's online EPC or Topix the build list either shows
Premium Audio 1280W or BRANDED SURROUND SOUND SYS(L4)

Thanks - maybe there is another system that I've not come across.

Either way, it's not the Signature.

yes, thanks all, as mentioned it had the L4 standard SE spec setup rather than the £4k signature option as advertised so I've backed out of the sale and just trying to get my deposit back. Which is proving a pain as they are saying their terms say to check with the sales person to confirm spec - my point is it should be as advertised, may have to dispute via the bank at this rate but we'll see, the spec / ad seemed pretty clear to me though:
