Installing Handsfree in '03 Vogue

Morning

I have a Bury CC9060 bluetooth handsfree I want to install in my FF

Started yesterday by taking the dash apart only to find that the satnav screen is just a screen really, however I was kind of expecting this

I'm assuming it all needs to be connected via the radio module in the boot, just wanted some advice from anyone whos done it before I jump in and make all the mistakes myself

Does the older radio system have a phone mute/input? When i installed this kit in my last car I used the CC9060's internal amp and a strange loom to cut into the speaker feeds, but there wasn't 13 or however many there is!

All help much appreciated, I'll do a step by step on how to do this as I'm going along

Thanks! 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

I would strongly advise you to consider the OEM Bluetooth solution...

On my last Vogue there was a nokia kit installed already, it muted the radio & nav, but the speaker was in the footwell and sounded terrible. I wanted to upgrade to a system that used the cars speakers but it didn't seem that there was a converter available for the Vogue due to the fact it has DSP, you may find a similar problem.

Doing a quick ebay search for Range Rover Bury, I found this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ISO-SOT-076-k-THB-Bu...3367c085d4

It is worth the £10 to avoid any interference with the factory system, the last thing you want is noise on the line, or to blow the BM54 unit as they are 2-300 to replace.

Thanks for your replies

With the cost of the OEM system I'd sooner install my current Bury if possible (especially with various other jobs to do on the car!)

I'll get one of those cables Dan, that's exactly what I was looking for. I never seem to have any luck with finding random cables/adaptors on ebay

Like I said, I'll do a step by step when I work it out so other people find it easier! 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

I had a crack at it this afternoon and I'm pleased to report I have a fully functioning BT handsfree on the telephone input, best part is I didn't buy a single part - everything I installed was re-used from my Golf

I'll sort out the pictures and do a proper step by step, proper chuffed Very Happy 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue
