United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

Has anyone else had communication from their dealers about price increases? Lost track how many I’ve had since ordering but his one looks to be around £9k. Only a month ago I was informed I couldn’t have the black wheels and dark grey birch interior…. Not good! 2023 Defender p400e

Yep had the same thing - no birch and a few other requests to change spec including wheels plus price rises and meridian downgrade with delivery no earlier than NOV 23 (ie 2 years from order)

I am actually investigating swapping to a different vehicle - lost the love now - it’s a good looking car but dont think I will be taking mine after all

I had to pop into dealers last week, I mentioned the list price increases and was told they are having a lot of difficult conversations with customers. If I understand the process they will be looking closely at which builds are in the holding pool with a viable spec and honour those prices, anything else that hasn’t been called forward will be impacted by the increase. MY23 PHEV HSE

A friend pitched up yesterday. His mercedes was 6 months late , 2022, downgraded the headlights, the radio, the gesture boot was missing, and other off specs.

So JLR were not alone, maybe taken JLR more time to resolve, perhaps hindered by the launch of two new cars. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

When you say meridian downgrade what one was you meant to get and which one are they changing it to? Was it signature to 3d surround? Also what wheels was it? 23” to 22”?

Was thinking of putting an order in well in advance of the finance ending and trying to get an idea of what is actually available to spec. Not sure how up to date the configurator is.

The configurator was updated a couple of weeks ago with the new prices and option changes.

I stuck an order in for a HSE a few days after the changes but still managed to order the 23’’ black wheels via the dealer that are now only available on the AB. The black birch trim is now only available on the SV even though I have it on my current HSE. MY23 D350 HSE

Nice one! So how does that work then, will they honour it or say sorry you can no longer have it later on down the line? I’m gutted about missing out on the birch trim.

Currently have that scratchy glossy black trim in our L405 which ages horribly. Looks like that’s the only black option available on the new model now which is disappointing.

Everything has been agreed in writing and is in the contract. If they renege on the wheels then I’ll ask them to source them separately. There’s nothing I can do about the trim but the dealer said they would monitor the situation and advise before the build is locked in. MY23 D350 HSE

I have three 23 inch black wheels , I had to buy four to get the spare.

Thanks Bill.

I have 4 of those on my current HSE so worst case I’ll swap those when the new one arrives.

Does anyone know of any decent dealers / sales executives (if they exist) around the London area that keep you up to date throughout the process until delivery? Do not really want to be dealing with one’s that will just go radio silent after taking the deposit.

That seems to be all car dealers, not just LR, once they've got your deposit......tumbleweed.

I have cancelled my order - useless dealer - spec downgrades - price increases - delayed delivery and to top it all the car would be practically uninsurable

Ah well - new direction it is
