Hi guys,

When I press door or centre button to drop suspension from normal to access height, I get restriction message and it raises to extended height. It was previously working ok. The 4x4 info screen does not show any faults and there are no faults being recorded on Gap tool. Checked all the height sensors they look ok. Any ideas? -----------------------

Might not be this, but I’d remove the exhaust filter from the air suspension compressor and try again.

I had the same issue and it was due to the car not lowering fast enough, as it couldn’t get the air out.

No issues since. Garage wanted £700 to fit a new compressor…..

You can clean the exhaust filter with some hot water. Don’t remove it permanently. It’s got a purpose. Christian.

I tried soaking mine in Petrol but it was still blocked. You could buy new ones for around £32 but not sure if you can now.

Drilled a hole in it and refitted.

I just used hot water and an airline. Seemed to come up sparkling really easy Christian.

+1 for the hole drilling did it about 6 years ago and still ok in fact after drilling it watched as it lowered and raised the car the amount of white powder that came out was interesting

Another +1 for hole in filter , sorted mine out 5 years ago and still working fine .

removed compressor filter today, started it up suspension lowered to access height no problem. So have drilled a hole in filter and now refitted it. All I need now is the spare wheel lifting tool as I now know how awkward it is to get out.

Yes, if I’d had known the later cars didn’t have the lifting strap, I’d have took it out my TD6.

Can get them on the bay of e though…

I have just done this today, and it rectified my slow to access mode problem, great fix, cheers guys !

Nice one. I appreciate it’s not the fix Land Rover would do, but no issues with mine…. However many years later….

Had same issue when I got mine nearly 7 years ago , hole in filter sorted it (6/1//2 years ago) not missed a beat since and it get's lowered nearly every time it's parked (wife has little legs and easier for dogs to jump in boot ).
