As per Claud's comments, the light under each of my indicators is a directional one which comes on when the steering wheel reaches a certain number of 'turns' in either the clockwise or anti-clockwise direction so illuminating the relevant light. Mine works well when I turn onto my drive at night as I can see if there's anything there (e.g. Hedgehogs etc ) before actually driving up it. There may be some mods to get running lights as I think places such as Sweden etc are required to have sidelights on all the time (as per Volvos /Saabs etc) in which case LR must do a mod for sales in that country which may just be an adaption of the existing light system. Just a thought.

I did that on my D3 because in our country daytime running lights are required. It is done by the dealer, problem is I asked them just to make them turn off when the key is removed (like in a Volvo) but they couldn't so the result was lights on with switch off (and lights off when key out) which sucked. I wanted to reset them to default but they wanted some extra 40EUR... |
