United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Fuji White
Ex Land Rover Experience Car

Thinking about buying an approved white L405 4.4 SDV8 with registration starting OV. . .

Just over 3 years old with 7k on the clock.

It’s obviously an ex experience car but dealer won’t confirm.

Am I nuts or should I just think it’s under warranty so then why not?

Opinions please . . .

check the paintwork, when went on mine they didnt think twice about scratching through the shrubbery. Apart from that, they wont be under that much stress, the engines will be used (albeit gently) for a couple of hours at a time so, the underside my get some scrapes but I'd consider one if the price was keen First time FFRR owner

It's down to personal preference and appetite for risk.

First off the colour, trade view (unless they're selling it) is that white isn't a desirable colour so it would impact future resale value.

The LE cars are maintained to a high standard but can get a lot of abuse in day to day use, I've been on a couple of sessions and some of the things that people have done are unbelievable. There's also a lot of stop/start driving and its all at low speed which isn't good for any engine.

If you do go for it, I would ask to see if you can get it up on a lift and check it out underneath.

Personally, I'd look elsewhere, sometimes it's better to have a car that's got higher mileage and is well looked after both physically and in terms of service/maintenance.

You could argue that the Landrover Experience cars have simply been well tested before being sold to the public?

I nearly bought an ex LE vehicle in 1996, until I looked underneath, every single chassis / frame hole was blocked solid with mud, the whole of the underneath was heavily scraped with loads of dents. I suspect the suspension bushes would also have been shot.

I would avoid it and rather buy a slightly higher mileage one for the same money. Back in 1996, I ended up buying a brand new vehicle as the extra cost was minimal over a low mileage ex LE vehicle, plus it was worth the additional cost as I got a full warranty. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

When I last attended the Experience in a white L405 the seat back fell off when the car was at an odd angle, perhaps all the vehicle mechanics are good but there is no denying all the trim will also have been tested by passengers holding on!! Personally wouldn't buy an ex LR experience car. Laughing

Thanks for all your opinions, after checking the car thoroughly inside, outside, underneath and taking it for a test drive, I’ve bought it! 😄

Brilliant mate, pleased for you. You'll love it. I love mine, just down aa 400 mile round trip to the south coast and back with work, didnt miss a beat and every mile was a pleasure (and I was even getting paid for it too)

Have you collected it yet? First time FFRR owner

Thanks mate, yes I’ve got it. Love it! I’ve had one before so I knew what I was missing.
