United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Barolo Black
New brakes !!

So ive slowly been collecting all the bits to refresh my brakes and today was the day !!

I bought a full second hand set of brake calipers and had them refurbished by BCS.
I decided on black in the end as ive been slowly blacking out my Range Rover.

Decided in the end to go with EBC discs and yellow stuff pads all round.

Few photos of todays work

Nice job Andy.......BUT........Please do not take this as an insult..... Based on the photos you posted...

From the photos it appears that you have the car up in the air on two hydraulic trolley jacks and there are no visible axle stands or other safe forms of supports under the vehicle. Personally I would never work on a car without additional safe supports in case a trolley jack failed, the results could be very nasty.

I am a marine engineer and part of my job involves carrying out risk assessments and issuing work permits, to keep people safe, and prevent accidents / injuries occurring. Although the chances of a trolley jack failing are quite small, it is a bloody heavy car, always err on the side of caution.

A couple of axle stands are cheap and easy to use, and could save your life.

Always think SAFETY, it doesn't take much effort or time. Thumbs Up

Lovely job. Be interested to hear how you find the EBC disc and pad materials

OK done quite a few miles and must say im greatly impressed.
there isn't the noise I had with the terrafirma discs, just very progressive and smooth braking.
also no dust on the wheels that I've noticed so far.
very pleased.... 2011 4.4 TDV8
