Bonnet Lettering - best place to buy and measurements

Hi guys,

Looking to replace the Range Rover lettering on the bonnet. It’s wrong colour and looks to have been fitted too far down the bonnet, it’s almost right on the edge 😆

Does anyone know the measurements for how far up the bottom of lettering should be on the bonnet?

Also does anyone have any good recommendations of where to buy an OEM style lettering pack? Too many choices on eBay and don’t know whats duff or good. Should I buy from LR direct?

Cheers
Craig

I think I got mine from powerful Uk on my last fatty - it came with a template and everything - looked bang on when I finished.

Found a pic of the replacements I put on my old one.

Apologies but I can’t get the pic rotated.

Recently bought mine from a supplier on Etsy and took it to a local bodyshop who charged me £20 to fit.

How does one get the old lettering off? The paint has mostly gone on mine. Ron B. VK2OTC

My old letters were pretty much falling off anyway so not so difficult. If yours are properly fixed then maybe some heat to soften the glue. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Sadly they no longer stock it on there website - I had emailed them and they confirmed their lettering and template had been discontinued

Hi,

ISTR peeps using either fishing line or dental floss to slice behind the letter to remove them, gentle heat should help as well

Thumbs Up

That’ll do it, a bit of heat and some fishing line and a bit of adhesive remover once the letters are off, you’ll probably have to t-cut it to get rid of the ‘shadow’ from the old letters.

I got mine from JRS automotive on fleabay https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/jrspartsshop I'd be careful to remove any polish before putting the lettering on, as it forms a barrier between the adhesive and the paint.
A 'toffee wheel' is generally used to remove the adhesive residue without any damage to the paint. Also available on fleabay for about a fiver.
