OBD2 Splitter

Has anyone tried using one of these to relocate full port functionality to some other hidden place and a power only port via an appropriately made lead in the original location? Can't see a problem but I'm only an owner. Chris

Decent quality ones work fine - sometimes too fine, don't forget to either remove it or leave a note (don't rely on the service receptionist telling the tech.) in your car if it goes in for, well, pretty much any work. Most of it needs some sort of comms with the vehicle, even topping up AdBlue.
