Can't see that would help much, he will need both bits of tailgate and then have to make a jig to hold them at the right angle to each other...!!! Pete

I'm not quite following you Pete, the ladder only fits to the upper tailgate.

Pete, It's the RRS that has the rear ladder folded down the lower part of the tailgate - and you lose the ability to use the split opening, the L322 one stops at the lower edge, personally I'd have let it go a bit lower so the first step wasn't so high - maybe I'm not as agile as the G4-ers |

You could open just the top or the top and the upright, the upright latched to the top, it didn't fold down like the LM one - if that makes any kind of sense! |

Sort of, the glass has a substantial frame that sits in a recess - you can see the second release button on the lower tailgate, bottom right. There is also the 'standard' one in the trim above the registration plate. One releases the top part only, the other releases the whole tailgate, as part of fitting the ladder, one of the release buttons (I forget which) had to be disconnected.

Jump up onto the bumper and use that as the first step. It helps being a spritely 39yo ![]() |
