Potential Group Buy - L322 Rear Access Ladder in the UK

Hi all,

I'm speaking to my friendly metalworker later, who will be making a rear access ladder (similar to the one picture) for my L322, so I can access the expedition rack.

Still to be confirmed however I expect they'd cost in the region of £325 which still works out cheaper than getting one imported from Voyager in the USA.

Construction would be from 25.4mm (1") steel tubing to match that of the expedition rack.

If it's of interest let me know and ask the question if he's prepared to make a few more.

That's quite a steep price, from memory the G4 ones were 20mm powder coated, I'm interested subject to photos, price and finish.
ETA- the weight is quite important too...

Yes, it's a lot of money for a ladder however there is no-one making them other than Voyager in the US.

There one is $300 plus $90 shipping to the UK. With import duty and VAT I worked it out to around £400 landed in the UK.

I'm getting my ladder made slightly closer to the tailgate and with a very slight curve to follow the lines of the hatch too. 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2

There is no sign of the L322 rear ladder on Voyager's website any more.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Hi Chaps,

Sorry for the late update. I've been flat out with work, other projects and moving house.

Due to the delay I haven't yet managed to get the ladder done however the plan is to drop off a spare tailgate with the welder next week for him to use to make the ladder.

I'll upload some pics when he's done. 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2

Sure they look like this.

If you google L322 Expedition Ladder you'll see a few different pics showing them.

I know this has not had an update in a while, I am STILL without a ladder.

The chap I had making it has stalled and stalled so many times, I've all but given up.

Voyager have increased their shipping now to $376 to the UK!!! making it a US$675 ladder, and that's before any import duty!

I'll keep searching for someone to make one and update this post if I get anywhere. 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2
