Start stop button

Can someone tell me if the start stop button on a 2017 ab should illuminate?

I am used to Audi's where the start stop and the blower vent indicators light up but nothing on mine does. Is this normal?

When you press the button in the lower centre consol ot lights up white. The light on the right side of the speedo also goes white. That's a change from green. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

This is how mine looks. The centre console is all lit up normally. It's the vents, start stop and glovebox buttons that are dark

My start stop engine button, glovebox buttons and vent adjusters do not light up. (2016MY Autobiography, all these parts are the same as your 2017)

I think that's just how it is on these.

The engine stop-start button lights up when the lights are on. Vent winders are not lit. overfinch modified

Quite possibly unrelated but my car, when I first acquired the car, was a very dull place inside. The main battery was on its last legs with a low voltage and the stop/start feature would only very occasionally operate. Once a new battery was installed the stop/start works a lot and the cabin has lots of mood and door lighting that it didn't have on the old battery.

My stop/start button that was a fumble around the dash when you entered the car in the dark but now with the new battery its a bright beacon on the facia.
