I have 21 inch genuine silver take offs from a disco 5 and I wanted to touch up a little curb rash.

Does anyone know which of the two colours these wheels will likely be - i think sparkle but not 100% Current stable:

2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

That looks predominantly 'kerbstone grey' to me!
There doesn't look to be large enough flecks in the paint to be 'Sparkle', so in the absence of a higher res. photo of the paint, I'm going for 'Brilliant'

So I ordered some sparkle and took a gamble but I am convinced the mix is wrong even if I have got the wrong colour it looks more gun metal - I sprayed it anyway looks ok but colour defo wrong would you say this was sparkle?

Yikes, that is a lot to have a set done.

I’d be keeping an eye out for one extra wheel. Matching silver is a nightmare of a job at the best of times.

Tbf one has a bit of kerbing but liveable I’d be happy to do two of it was close enough as they’d be on different sides but this is too far out Current stable:

There are small paint shops around who can scan your wheel, and mix up an exact match and make up a couple of custom aerosols for you. I had to do this to paint my new aftermarket Ford Ranger grille in Ford Boulder Grey, since the colour isn’t available from Ford.

I think it cost me £30-£35 for two large aerosol cans, but the match was perfect.  “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Re powder coating, I got 5 22’s done for £450.
PC is more expensive, but IMO worth it because the inside of the wheel is gloss finish & MUCH easier to keep clean.
Standard paint should be £200-£250 for four wheels, but the overspray inside the wheels is dull finish and tends to attract the muck and is hard to clean, a bit of a PITA, in fact.

Just my OCD 2p worth!  “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
