Workshop Manual reads:

The following conditions must be met to allow the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor offset value to be learnt and stored: Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear DTCs from engine control module, then monitor the datalogger signal 'sump oil temperature - measured' ensuring a minimum of 50 degrees C is achieved. Start engine, run above 500rpm for 2 minutes, then a further 30 seconds at idle. Ensure the engine cooling fan is not running. Set vehicle in park and set ignition status to off. Wait 30 seconds for the engine control module to power down, learn and store diesel particulate filter pressure sensor offset value. This process must be carried out six times, to allow a large negative offset value to adapt back to 0 Hpa.

I will be installing a new DPF Pressure Sensor next week. My question is how do you run the engine at 500RMP when Idle is over 600????

Is this a typo? does anyone know the correct RPM to run the process at?

It says 'run above 500RPM' then at idle, so if idle is 600, I'd just rev it up to say 1000 as that's above 500 and idle. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.

It should read 'above 2500rpm'. The test and calibration will fail if it isn't. If you were doing it through SDD then the on-screen text would read 'above 2500rpm'.

Calibrated the existing Sensor based upon the previous advice, which failed resulting in a further Pressure Sensor being ordered last week.

I will be fitting a new Pressure Sensor purchased from Duckworths next week and will then calibrate the sensor as per the workshop manual but at 2500 RPM.

Hopefully this will resolve my issues.

If you have access to an air compressor, blow down the pipes before fitting the new sensor to ensure they're clear and disperse any condensation in them.

Very helpful, makes sense. Will order a small compressor. off eBay and give the pipes a blow through.
