My own experience makes me think "where would I look for a car" and start advertising there.

+1 for AutoTrader. I've used it for years to buy and sell, most recently Jan I bought an old L320.

AutoTrader is good but the packages are expensive.

I have used motorway.co.uk twice in the past two years and the service was good. You get an initial 'rough' valuation and then if you agree, they auction the car and inform you of the best offer. When I sold my last RR, it was at the time that prices for second-hand vehicles were going through the roof, so I left it a few weeks and ended up getting 10k more than their original quote

If the car is a goodie, then I'd list it on here - moved on two of mine that way. If its a bit iffy then do as Andy B says - those trade buyers cut out any pfaffing about. Mike - MPx

Funny enough, I advertised my L405, my G4 Challenge L322, my one-of-one P38 Trek, and more recently, my one-off Balmoral Green L322, and... never got any lead from advertising these niche Range Rover here, which is surprising, to say the least. How they sold: L405= sold via ebay G4 L322= Themarket.com P38: Facebook RR groups Balmoral L322: I may place it on Auto Trader. Sold my wife's Freelander 2 with a day on Facebook marketplace. Note: eBay is a waste of time, big time (I got 15/20 'offers' over the phone, but no one came to buy it until one chap bought it at the advertised price, came paid on the spot, and we're still in touch! I hope this helps.

I would vouch for Autotrader. It’s worth the expense in my eyes. Better chance of a genuine buyer.

I would definitely suggest Autotrader besides this amazing forum. All, the usual things apply. Lots of photos plus - service history, owners, mileage and as much detail as you can! Then expect enquirers to ask you stuff that is on the listing.

Autotrader for me. Sold last RR L322 via this forum almost 6 years ago but AT got a strong response and ultimate sale this time round with the L405 (paid for the indefinite AT advert until sold and felt that was good vfm).

I think it all depends on what sort of level of car it is.
