United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
noisy pully

hi guys
got what i think is a worn bearing on a pully so going to replace them all and also the water pump (makes sense i think)...
on my list i have got
water pump
tensioner
idler wheel (both)
drive belt
now have i missed anything or do you think while there is something else i may as well do while im at it ?

I'm sure I remember a few others doing this on the 3.6TDv8 & recording it on here.

Have you used the Search facility to check for posts ?

hi did search but came up with 4.4 and sc mines 3.6 v8 (unless i missed it ) yea mine has just started but only heard it as i was under bonnet doing something else ...........may not be a pully Confused

Amazing, I've looked too and can't find any related posts - despite definitely seeing some !

I remember mention of various suppliers selling kits of the related parts as I checked some of the links provided

The biggest decision you've got is between aftermarket & Genuine parts - which appears to make a big difference to the cost & can add £100+. Paul,

Personally I’d go genuine for tensioner, water pump and idlers. Just in the process of doing all mine while replacing alternator.

yea lots info for 4.4-sc but not so for 3.6.........@ bPeteT80 been looking at which parts to get genuine or aftermarket think im edging towards genuine ....what about the belt genuine as well you think ?

just had a quick look non gen water pump around £60 genuine water pump about £160 not a lot of differance Rolling with laughter

yea i know .....think ill get gen parts just do it over a couple of months not so much of a hit then ,not using the car a lot at the mo and need the tq replacing first Sad ..it never rains it pours Laughing
