Thinking of selling my TD6 for spares or repair | |
Just after a decision on what the general consensus is re price . Its a 52 plate TD6 Vogue in Java black with sand coloured interior which I have owned for nearly 12 years and has approx. 180k miles . It had 126k when I purchased. In my ownership it has had :-
Gearbox serviced with new filters and fluid
Vortex oil filter upgrade (BMW) for the turbo
2 x diesel injectors
New high level rear brake light
Both rear light units renewed with new units
Stereo amplifier replaced with like for like
Oil and filter service every year
New discs and pads including handbrake shoes front and rear
New brake callipers all round
Front and rear brake pipes replaced
Brand new Bosch battery with 5 year guarantee
Rear jacking points were corroded so were professionally cut out and repaired at a cost of 2k - this seems to be what is now killing these cars and sending them to the breakers .
Front off side wheel bearing replaced and outer CV joint .
MOT'd at the end of December and has 18 inch alloys fitted with new Pirelli Scorpion tyres all round.
Bad points :-
back edge of rear arches have surface rust - I have rubbed down and protected but requires doing properly
front and rear sub frames have surface corrosion - not structural as WaxOyld every year and shown on MOT advisory - same with suspension arms.
Rear wheel bearing offside dry and noisy .
Slight corrosion on upper tailgate
aircon not working , hasn't since I've owned it .
Dash mileage pixels very intermittent .
Steering wheel adjustment stopped working last week - never bothered me.
Comes with a few spares ( rear lights, side vents , abs sensors and a set of 19 inch alloy wheels with tyres .

Any ballpark figures that I can ask ?
