Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking I may swap my '09 L322 for a '13 L405 in the next few years. So, that means it's time for me to start researching it now .

I found a PDF copy of the 2013 brochure but there are no specs in it. Is there some other brochure for MY 2013 that has all of the details or did LR decide that this information wasn't necessary for their customers?

I've also looked around and it doesn't seem that there are any thorough buyers guides out there for the L405. It's like they just stopped at the L322.

I guess my biggest question is about the engine. Does it have the same timing chain issue as the 5.0 liter 2012 where the tensioner fails at around 60K miles destroying your engine?

IIRC L405's didn't suffer from can chain failure, it was sorted with upgraded parts by then...

I think you will find the early 5.0 L405's can suffer from timing chain issues the same as the L322 can. 2004 4.2 SC Japan Spec

UPDATE: I found that Land Rover did have a brochure that gives all of the specs. The one I found is the "A Preview" brochure (about 16 pages) but there's also the "SPECIFICATIONS" brochure that is harder to find. I did find one from an eBay seller in the UK. Hopefully I'll have it in a few weeks.
