Anyone living in or near London will know about the upcoming ULEZ extension. Yay!
Most articles you read will say your car needs to be EURO4 compliant. This is wrong, my P38 is only EURO2 compliant and it's now ULEZ compliant. They only need to meet the EURO4 NOx requirements which are 0.080g/km. Stuff like CO2, HC and CO are not relevant to ULEZ.
Initially when I checked on the TFL database it came back as non-compliant (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/). I wasn't surprised.
So I emailed Land Rover (jagcrc@jaguarlandrover.com) asked them for a form to request a Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
When I received the CoC, my NOx levels were only 0.051g/km which is indeed ULEZ complaint. Grand.
You then need to register your car with TFL here
https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/complianc...-you-start
Submit your CoC, V5 etc.
They say they need a signed letter form LR. I didn't provide one, and they updated my car on their database very quickly.
I think the GEMS cars come back with higher NOx values that aren't compliant.
Unsure on the 4.6 Thor as yet.
Happy ULEZ driving.
Oh, a word of caution, don't try and give this advice to a climbing community.
