Spain

France here.

France has outlawed all types of speed trap detectors or notifiers except those that present said speed traps as 'danger zones', meaning that the exact location can't be given, just a band of a few hundred meters before and after the trap.

If you're the speeding type, you have three options:
-One, keep your eyes peeled for speed traps;
-Two, invest in a France-compliant device, such as those by Coyote;
-Three, if your car has Carplay, get the RadarAll app that will indicate all exact trap locations (static + mobile) and will disappear the second you shut down the engine, thus rendering it invisible to the cops.

Alternatively to option Three, buy a device from Saphe. They're sold in the UK and while not France-compliant, they're easy to hide and indicate the exact speed trap location (static + mobile).

Do note that French police DO NOT have the authority to search your phone or ask you to unlock it unless you've been involved in a serious crash, and then only upon request from a judge.

Other than that, don't be a dumbass: stay polite, don't lie in the face of incontrovertible evidence to the contrary and you'll be fine.

Bon voyage!

United Kingdom

my preference is the eurotunnel.

get a crit'air for the cities https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/news/motoring-...ch-cities/

navigation, the FF's nav will get you where you need to go...waze and google maps are a good addition

some change for the toilets in the petrol service stations..the basic autoroute 'aires' toilets are free

a tag makes the tolls so easy to use, https://www.emovis-tag.co.uk/subscription/?ref=eurotml1112

once you have all the bits you need then just enjoy the journey..have a safe one Rob.. Wink ... - .- -.
