After connecting the battery back up after charging following lay up since Christmas, the passenger side main beam came on, followed by all rear lights except for the left hand indicator. I turned on the ignition and started the engine, all lights went out but the indicators and hazard lights would not work. After a few seconds, all indicators started to flash by themselves at a very slow rate, about once every five seconds. I'm assuming the LCM is knackered. Is anyone able to confirm please. It's supposed to be going to it's new owner - my Aunt! |

Could be some damp or corrosion in the LCM. Not difficult to get out, in behind the lower A pillar trim, by where your right foot goes. You can get the LCM apart and give it a good clean with contact cleaner and a toothbrush, and/or give it some time in the airing cupboard. See if that helps. .

Thanks Joe90 I'll give that a try. It's just Sod's Law! My aunt was supposed to have it last Sunday when all was fine but weather called it off, so it probably would have gone anyway!! |

Does a replacement LCM need coding? |

No worries, it's a very underestimated core module, probably because it's designation makes it seem so benign. |
