United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Causeway Grey

Ive just tried the steps from the video and it doesn't work on my 2013 L405...
Does this only work on later models maybe and is there a different method perhaps?

Thanks chaps.

It can sometimes take a few goes. Make sure your drivers door is open. 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey

Is there a reason why we wouldn’t have a need to super lock?

Yes. You have the option of leaving your dogs inside without them being able to set the proximity alarms off when going into a shop for two minutes..

It’s great thinking for a Land Rover product.

Regarding the single vs double locking, both seem to enable interior sensors on MY19 as I have to go through the menu on the central dash displays to disable it (once only) to allow the dogs to be left inside even briefly to avoid the alarm going off. MY19 SDV8 Autobiography

I double click the fob the dog sets it off every time, no issue with single locking.

I read on here somewhere the interior sensors aren’t on with a single lock, maybe it was wrong and the first owner of mine changed it on the central dash menu?

According to the owner’s manual (for the facelift L405s, least), only double locking turns on the interior sensors:

Finally got round to disabling keyless entry............don't want to find myself stranded in France without my FFRR Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

To be honest I still used the fob pretty much all the time

My insurance said don’t bother claiming if left unlocked, or similar words ….so I lock as a matter of course & the app warns me should I leave unlocked for any reason.

What is a concern , I mentioned before, the tracking app locks you out when the car is stolen. I had a false car stolen warning, but had to physically check the car was there. Something JLR need to address as I will want to know where my car is , should it go missing. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

But that’s put in place to stop vigilantes chasing their own car around the streets…
At least the police are trained to show restraint when hands on with these scroats… 🥴😉🙄

I’m pretty sure the app was updated… so would imagine pre 22 would also have the warning by way of a text message. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. I have a MY17 FFRR and the app has a setting that warns you after 15 minutes if the vehicle has been left unlocked.

If like me you use 'Faraday' pouches for your keys, it's worth keeping an eye on their continued effectiveness. I recently discovered that the one I use every day was no longer shielding the key properly. I found out purely by chance that I could open the locked doors with the key in its pouch in my pocket.

I tried the same key in the pouch that I store my spare in and it did its job and prevented me opening the doors.

I can only think that somehow the lining inside the pouch has broken down over regular use although on close inspection there is no noticeable difference between the two. IIRC I did test them both when purchased.

Something to watch out for!
