I’ve not had a chance to look at it much again this weekend either.

Am hoping to get time to get it in the workshop tomorrow evening and start casting an eye over it. Will start with the usual suspects and will try and smoke test it again and see if I can find anything.

Just to keep this thread updated…

I removed the engine cover and had a look at this tonight, the vacuum pipe that runs from the plate on top of the Supercharger to the fuel pressure sensor wasn’t securely attached. I’m going to put a hose clip on it so it’s attached properly.

I’ve also ordered a new MAF sensor and 2 pre-cat oxygen sensors as they’re the originals on the car. Hopefully once I’ve fitted these and clamped that pipe things will be back to normal again.

The EML seems to be coming on every 30 miles or so when clearing the fault codes. It’s always when in a 30 limit and usually when slowing down for a junction or traffic lights. Given I’ve done 2000 miles in it since the engine was rebuilt, I’m quite happy that it’s a new issue rather then something that’s manifesting itself after the rebuild.

i guess if you want it to take longer for the light to come on your could reset your adaptations, you'll get about 50 miles before it comes on again Its actually a sport

Not anymore, 4.4 TDV8 now

The adaptions were reset before the light came back on after 30 miles.

At the weekend I’ve tightened a vacuum pipe, replaced both pre-cat oxygen sensors and fitted a new MAF before resetting the adaptions again. All with genuine Denso parts. Thankfully Denso branded parts are cheaper than Land Rover boxed Denso parts!

I also sorted a fuel leak on the old LPG return solenoid. I’ve done 20 miles in the car this morning and it feels like a different car to drive.

Fingers crossed that’s cured it! I’ll keep an eye on the fuel trims but I guess time and miles will tell!
