My old 2008 had one but my new 2011 doesn't which is a bit crap obviously. No I didn't check when I got the car, don't think I've even seen another RR without one fitted...

I'm assuming you do not have the armature that fits across the car with the receiver for the swan neck?

The part referrred to by ProfT is, IIRC, only the swan neck ball fitting.

Westphalia no longer supply the armature so it will have to be used. I understand the swan neck and perhaps the farmers' hitch are available because they are "wearing" parts.

I'm not sure if other tow bar manufacurers still make for the L322, perhaps others on here may know of one or two.

Yes you're absolutely correct, there's no armature with receiver. Bizarrely there is a detachable swan neck in the storage area though...  Cam

I believe there was a slight change in the armature at about 08/09 to accomodate different exhaust hanger positions but if you are handy then there is a write up on here about a mod.

Grandmother and eggs time, the swan neck fits into a vertical receiver which in turn has a square (2") extension which fits into the armature. Those are the £285 bit. The electrics connection, if specced new, will have a grey multi plug in the spare wheel well on the left hand rear bulkhead, the loom going through an adjacent hole with grommet to the trailer plug. That's about £30. If you look at

vindecoderz.com

and enter your vin no. then, if the site works, you should see the spec for the car. It should show if tow preparation was done. That's the bit which will have the 'well connection plug.

Found this one that's very reasonably priced, fairly new, includes wiring but is fixed. Although it's for pre-facelift I should imagine it'll fit with minor work? Cam

Just spoken to P F Jones and if I understand them, and they me on your model year, a new Witter towbar (R32B) for the FullFat is £180. Should include delivery too. Sadly not removable.

Give them a ring if you wish. Just make sure they know your car model year and that the ball is included etc.. Electrics will be about £30.

My first post on here. I picked up my 2012 Westminster at the weekend and I am now embarking on a list of jobs!

The first is the Tow bar. It has the factory fitted kit including all electrics and it also has the swan neck tucked away in the boot, but I am missing the vertical receiver! Not sure why anybody would remove that piece from the car, but it is proving difficult to find one without the swan neck.

I think there is a clour code reference on the car, under the bonnet but can't remember exactly where. Give Duckworths a call and ask to speak to Rob, I think. He's the contact for the forum. If you give him your VIN he should be able to confirm the colour and send you a build sheet. About the PS reading, mine's the same so he could confirm the power.

On a positive note it does loook as if the tow electrics were fitted at build.

It may help if you start a new thread for your part. If TA and I reply to each other your enquiry may get overlooked. If it helps, receiver and swan neck seem to be supplied as a unit so you would have to be lucky to get only the receiver. I think PF Jones have them in stock but they're near £300 new. You could get a farmers' hitch new from them or S/H on ebay if you need to tow or until you source a receiver. PFJ seem cheapest for that, some LR specialist suppliers are looking for huge sums for them.

And introduce yourself on the General forum and and stick up some piccies or it didn't happen  Cheers
