Air suspension oddity - where's the leak!? | |
Hi everyone,
Hoping your collective wisdom may be able to help.
I have a 2007 3.6 V8 L322 - and it's been great so far! However, recently noticed the front suspension has a leak somewhere.
I took out the fuse for the suspension, set it to high and left it overnight, and the front squats down evenly - i.e. both sides. (Car now looks hilarious as I look at it out the window!).
So, I took off Right front wheel arch to get to the valve block, thinking the leak must be between tank and block. Unfortunately no leak around valve block at all. I now need to get to the tank connections, but no idea how to do that - do I have to drop the tank down to see the connection, to test for a leak?
With that - is it possible one of the struts has a leak? The car doesn't tilt at all, it goes down evenly, but would the loss of air in one cause the other side to go down? With the valve block I'd assume not but am I holding on to a red herring!
Anyway, so 2 questions...
1) How to check the connection on the tank?
2) Is it definitely between tank and valve block on the front?
Thanks so much everyone!
Tony
