Brake pad and disc replacement costs: How to save money! | |
Right, my RR is a 2005 facelift 06 MY.
The cost at the dealer for replacing front discs and pads and rear pads was originally quoted at £536 inc VAT. I didn't need rear discs as they were done not too long ago under warranty.
I then phoned around they dropped it to £350.
However, I shopped around even further and bought all the parts required from Paddock Spares (www.paddockspares.com) for just £99 inc P&P and have arranged for my local Tanvic Tyres to fit them for a bargain £105 inc VAT.
So, just to summarise:
Front Brake pads 1 Set
Rear brake pads 1 set
Front brake discs x 2
So, a total of £205 fully fitted and a saving of £331 over the dealer just for the effort of a few phone calls. I am told that the cost for an older model 2002-2005 is slightly cheaper too.
