Auto glass windscreen replacement

I recently had a new windscreen installed.
The following day i noticed there is now a significant gap at the bottom of the windscreen between glass and scuttle board. You can insert a finger and draw it round the complete length of the board / cowl.
Water now collects in the gap.

I don’t think the gap is right and will take car back to them. Maybe part of the new windscreen install is to apply some sealant which makes a watertight seal at the bottom so water just drains over?

In the meantime…with water in that gap…is it going to drain into anywhere which could be damaged or does it drain harmlessly into the back of the engine bay?

My past experiences of Gavin's lot has ensured that they will never touch any of my vehicles again.

Last time I needed a screen (for a VW T5) I paid a premium to have a genuine VW screen fitted at a local indy.

Like any Nationwide organisation, it depends where you are and who fits the screen. Autoglass fitted a replacement screen on my RR and it was a very good job, no problems at all, they sent two vans and three fitters to carry out the work and i was very pleased with the result
