United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Bonatti Grey
2 days until collection

Having owned several 4x4's I've taken the plunge and popped my FF cherry.

I received a call from the dealer informing me that my 2006 4.2 SC vogue will be ready for collection on Friday.

I will see how I get on with it and all being good, intend on upgrading to a 5.0 SC next year. She's a 1 owner Bonatti grey with Ivory leather with full LR service history and nice options such as TV tuner etc. I negotiated a full service and disc and pad change all round prior to collection.

I loved my Cayenne turbo S even though she was as ugly as sin. I appreciate the FF is a different animal without the power or handling of the Cayenne but I'm thoroughly looking forward to taking delivery.

I would like to thank all members for the insight this forum gave me during my search. Thumbs Up

If anyone needs me I will be at my local Shell petrol station by the V power pump Rolling with laughter

I used to be a paint correction retailer and will need to spend a week on her to get her to my standard, but promise to post pictures once I have done so 06 4.2 SC Bonatti Grey/ Ivory

Brunberg - do I recognise your name from M3 Cutters ? (I'm 2002SportEvo on that site)

I've got an E46 M3 but just recently added a 2005 4.2 SC to the family as well - you'll love it Very Happy

Guilty as charged mate. Thumbs Up
The M3 is long gone, the FF will be my sensible car and my next project will be an E60 V10 M5 with a G-Power hurricane supercharger kit which I'm working on with the guys at Evolve.

Project is on hold as the new M5 launches in Sept, so will look to buy straight after.

Thanks I'm looking forward to the FF 06 4.2 SC Bonatti Grey/ Ivory

Shocked

Don't think I've ever seen a S/C FF described as "sensible" before.... Then again, compared to a S/C M5, its probably a fair description..... Twisted Evil

Arrived and I'm very happy. I popped over to Revere to pick up a perforated leather and piano black wood steering wheel and gear knob as I wasn't overly impressed with the standard items.

It is a pleasure to drive and very nimble for such a big beast.

The only issue I have is a vibration/buzzing noise Censored which appears to be coming from inside the dash whenever I hit 70mph which is very irritating. I've tried applying pressure to various dash panels and trims but to no avail. So as above it looks like a trip back to the dealer is on the cards, I'm just not convinced it will be a simple fix as is often the case with these niggles Yawn 06 4.2 SC Bonatti Grey/ Ivory

Could the vibration be a loose cover on the outside of the A pillar? Quite a common item to work loose.
