I did a search on here but didn't find the answer to my questions, so ......

I saw a lad on You Tube swap a MY2016 AC panel in the dash for an upgraded touchscreen version similar to MY18 cars and it got me thinking.
Is the genuine MY18 touchscreen a direct replacement for the MY16 push button panel or is the Chinese option the only option? I noted there appears to be two types available from China - one with the slot for the CD payer and another one without which in turn leads to other buttons for hazard warning lights and volume control being in different places.

Has anyone bought a touchscreen to retrofit ? experiences in use ? the control dials sounded a bit tacky in the video of the Chinese touchscreen but might just have been the microphone on his camera though.

any input greatly appreciated.

I don’t believe the OEM 2018+ panel works in older vehicles due to he backend software.

I bought a panel from AliExpress for $365 Canadian after clipping the store coupon. CD slot version. Works perfectly. Dials are fantastic.

Missing massage seat function, but they all are. I set the massage seats to come on automatically after 15 minutes.
