L405 Fuel tank

Has anyone heard of noise from the fuel tank when turning out from a `T` junction?

My car is in JLR for its MOT and I asked them to check out a clonk from the rear when turning that feels like it's from the axle drive system.

The report is that the fuel tank has no noise-damping in the tank and that is what I hear/feel I don't think this is a good explanation as I do not believe you could feel a noise only vibration from noise, I feel the clonk through my backside.

SV-Automan had a similar sound and gave me a bulletin number but my lot at JLR dismissed that out of hand.

So do I press the point or wait for it to fail? BTW I have extended JLR warranty.

The car has covered less than 15k should it need track control arms after covering such low milage?

My thoughts at the moment is that if it did not have the extended warranty would they be so keen to find extra work.

if theres a tsb then the dealer should do the work under warranty ....depends how accommodating the dealer is and how much you complain... ... - .- -.

Mine doesn't do it, it says on the bulletin that normal warranty procedures apply.
It may be that there was a set time period to get this done, but you wont know till you ask.
I would take a print out of the bulletin and approach them. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

So just an update JLR are asking warranty if they will cover it along with the front lower control arms, and rear disc none of which are MOT advisory, just believe they can push it through.
