Hello all,

I have the manual and wallet in the draw together with a download of it on my Apple I pad. So far so good but what i would find useful is the manual also on my desktop as well. My first thoughts were I must have downloaded the works manual successfully from our "Wiki" library and headed there. Maybe not then.

Can't recall now how I got it on the apple I pad and although handy whilst away from home, a copy on the computer would be great. Old age creeps on!

Any ideas please

I believe it’s in the Wiki downloadable as a zip file… down towards the bottom….

Many thanks for your reply and it may well be that's how I did it before. The manual is in fact listed as you say but maybe is not working for a download etc. as before? Maybe Stan has an answer as other files there show a padlock image alongside the various headings eg. works manual etc.

Do you find that you are able to search in the workshop manual once it’s been downloaded?

I have downloaded from the WIKI and can open the unzipped PDF in an Adobe reader but I am not able to search it.

I find this is very frustrating when looking for fault codes for instance. Any tips anyone? TDV8 4.4 2012

I have a works manual that I've downloaded on my desktop etc. but unsure now whether I did so from Wiki or somewhere else. It maybe there is a fault on doing this from our forum if you have a similar problem also. I'm a very basic computer user but others maybe able to help. What I do know however is that you can google fault codes as they apply to "any" car with the same results. Great to be able to flick thru a big manual with ease!

On the one I have, presumably from the Wiki, it was a long time ago 🤣, you can’t search the pdf, but you can press the text on the contents page and it will take you to that chapter in Topix… external to the document, or alternatively you are scrolling through page after page.

The thread title is for the Owners Manual, not the workshop manual. I have the Workshop manual though, and if you get it from the Wiki it’s divided in to folders for each area….so it’s almost as good as searching.
