Thursday evening get a phone call from my sales exec. No news on your order but
I have a cancelled order, Portofino, parchment, no chav glass, D350 HSE, you can have now. We will take it back when yours arrives.
Go and see it Friday morning, car ticks all the boxes apart from not being the engine I want. Sales exec says he has no idea how long my original order will be but he suspects 6 months to a year.
Decide to go with it and complete all the paperwork and I collect it on Friday all being well.
Just as we are about to leave he says I have not logged in yet today, lets just have a look. Oh I dont believe it, yours is slotted for build in March.

Congratulations Dixy, my favourite colour combo - Some pictures upon delivery please. In the meantime:

You know Dixy , the horns differentiate tween the old and model, just in case your neighbour had any doubt!
one horn carries the really excellent rear view camera,

Only three more days Dixy….. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

You said your original order is slotted for March 2023. When did you order it and what was the spec?

I had a petrol demo for a couple of hours , it was sublime…. Petrol was an added cost to far for me & diesel suits me for one reason or another.
Somehow I suspect you will be telling us in February , you were just slumming it in the diesel as a stop gap. Rolling with laughter

Anyway good news & something to cheer up the winter months. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

At the rangerovers.net site (this thread: https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/latest...st-2393258) they are discussing the latest ordering constraint items. And since many of the items aren't in the "chip category" (like: Natural Black Birch Veneer, 23" rims, Caraway and Perlino Interior Trim etc), they've started questioning if the root cause actually is that the invoices are building up at JLR? Doesn't seem very likely, given the demand of the new L460, or?

Mine’s been built since November and sat at the factory since. No reason given. Various delivery dates have been promised over the past 22 months and all postponed. The latest is mid-Jan. I’ve no confidence it will be delivered to the dealer then either. I’m away most of Feb so have told the dealer I’ll pick it up in early March with the new reg. Don’t think they were too pleased with my decision. MY23 D350 HSE
