Always run at the light load pressure - very very rarely 5 on board with all the luggage. I learned this with a RRC back in the 80’s running at 28 all round made a massive difference to comfort 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Thanks. I am going to try the stock setup for a while and see how I go. The lightest on the sticker is 33f, 36r.

I wouldn’t go under stock pressure as you will compromise handling and wear. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I have taller walled tyres on my 20's (l322) would I keep the standard pressures, or go higher, or lower? for road cruising... (275 50 20) |

Try standard and adjust based on feel - harsh ride and sharp, light steering and it’s too high. Wallowing ride and vague heavier steering and it’s too soft. I’ve got 255/55 20 and run 33/36. Higher pressure at the rear recommended for stability and bias to under rather than oversteer. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

There is a difference between cold standing and using, what surprised me is all four tyres will change pressure at different rates

Deleted Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

All tyre pressures on cars are set and measured cold. Likley also why the fronts on the L322 are lower pressure is that in use ) (higher load) they will inflate higher than the rears. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I only check tyre pressures when the cars been sitting for a while and at night when the temp is more even around each wheel. Now I have ordered a more accurate gauge I will test all the tyres after a long run to see how much inflation that has occurred, I would guess 2/3psi after a motorway run? More likely on the front than the back as mentioned above. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8. |

Hot tyre pressures checking would be useful when combined with an infra red thermometer to get the pressure vs temp and identify any issues like a binding calliper or wheel alignment errors causing scrubbing. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
