The coldest I've ever experienced was about -3 deg C. I can't imagine -25 deg C. Very Happy

You Albertans (?) experience a huge temp range between summer and winter compared to us.

I have seen snow a couple of times but I'm only 75. Ron B. VK2OTC

Yep, I'm an Aussie living in Alberta.
Massive temp swings. I have a photo of my RR thermometer at -33C. Add windchill to that and it can be south of -45C
But, you manage. Just need to have good gear, some knowledge and and a healthy battery!
And of course in summer it's +40C and wildfires.
Hope the floods in NSW not affecting you.
Cheers

I was in eastern Europe for the turn of the century - very much 'wild camping', usually a bivvi bag & tarp, for much of January daytime temps were around -30 to -35deg. C. Windchill at night could see that drop to below -50deg. C. to the point where if you made a brew, even in an insulated mug there would be ice forming on the inside even though most of the contents were still warm to tepid in the middle! There were some hilltops we stayed on for a few days, waking up to see horizontal icicles slowly melting in the weak sunlight was a very strange sight!.

coldest for me was -21 in Finland!! i had to go buy a vest as i only has a shirt and coat to walk about in. My phone would only last for 10 mins outside before shutting down and i could only hold said phone with no gloves on for 2 mins or so before my hands started to hurt.

Skiing in Zermatt on the glacier I saw -23°C.

My whole face was an ice cream headache.

I didn't enjoy it.

I was in Sweden a few years ago in a town called ornskoldvik 600kms North of Stockholm, collecting a military gearbox that had been used for winter testing. It was very daunting watching the outside temp go from -1c to -28 the further north I was driving.

Coldest I've seen on the L322 display was -18deg in my driveway (Aberdeen/Angus border) back in 2010. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile
