United States 2010 Range Rover HSE 5.0 V8 Ipanema Sand
Apologies, but newbie (here) with another screen thread !

Guys, thanks for looking.

2010 5.0 NA in New York.

Lifetime LR owner and third L322.

I have tried the search option on here!

So last week my car popped up with a 'charging system fault' bong on the dash while driving. Everything was functioning correctly at the time, NAV, stereo, centre screen and commands were all working ok.

My immediate reaction was to shut down all electrical systems, lights, fan, Nav screen with red cross, etc.

I parked and got the car recovered and had the alternator (not charging) and battery replaced and coded.

PROBLEM: The centre screen has not come back on since.

I have no life in the screen now at any point. The power button is NOT flashing.

I have checked the rear left compartment and it's bone dry and all appears plugged in correctly.

ALL fuses individually checked and all ok.

I have tried disconnecting the battery overnight. I have tried disconnecting and touching the battery leads together.

Car has no codes recorded, according to my RSW Solutions and also my Euro-centric shop's code reader, including doing a reset on all modules and my shop could 'see' the radio module. The buttons around the screen are backlit when lights are on, and the hazard switch is back lit. Centre locking button works fine.

I have checked the top module in the rear left and have red light at the fibreoptic plug. I've bought a MOST loop to check the other modules.

Local stealer suggested a disconnect and restart, as they have no one qualified to work on anything 'that old'... Sad

To quote on one of the other posters here, is there a 'secret handshake' I'm missing to get the screen etc back on please?

Thanks ladies and gents, stay safe,

Mav

Hello Mav. Unfortunately we are experiencing the same problem as you have encouintered.

No power light screen blank infotainment system Following the vehicle having had a battery disconnect.

2011 4.4 Diesel. UK car

All the usual checks looked into to, no joy with this, have a feeling that this will transpire into something

outside of the usual optical bluetooth and other component failure.

I was hoping that you may have resolved your problem and may be able to shed some light on this.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards Daz

You should have some fault codes, get it scanned and start from there... Thumbs Up Pete

Pete, thank you. As I said above, RSW and my (non-JLR) local shop scanner reveal no codes, BUT, i do now have a flashing power button and static 'RANGE ROVER' logo on the screen.

Thanks, Mav

That sounds hopeful. Have you tried disconnecting & reconnected the rear control modules to see if that brings the screen back into life.
