I keep looking at and RS6.

Now I’ve found out you can get a tow bar on one it’s starting to appeal. Except for the fact they are murderously expensive to buy and run, in comparison to a 6 year old diesel FF….. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Once many have had a RR, although few really “need” one, it becomes hard to see past them. If looked after, they age well and so not only look good but should eradicate any foolish need to try and keep up with the Jones’ (pardon the pun nmj 😂

…and when you drive them, you might find yourself asking what else, really, is going to beat this = stick!

Thumbs Up

Definitely. Mine isn’t going anywhere any time soon, it could do with a wash, valet, wheel refurb on a couple of the rims, but then with the cheapo plate it has on it and the SVO grill most would be hard pressed to tell it apart from one which was a few years newer…..

Having looked around the neighbours 21 plate D300 I can’t see the point in swapping. Mine is faster, makes a better noise, is just as comfy, has almost the same toys and apart from front end cosmetics it’s pretty much the same car…… so I’ll be keeping it until the 460’s are sensible money which is unlikely to be any time soon. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well, a wash this afternoon and the DAS Pro will be back round it next.

It’s definitely going on the market. Longest we’ve kept one car and for good reason, because it’s a cracker and has been brilliant since we got it in 2017.

Search is on…

We've covered 64k trouble free miles in our 66 plate 3.0 VSE

I have changed the oil in it every six months.

Most reliable car we have owned. It has needed nothing apart from brake pads and tyres. Been down to the alps several times a year winter and summer fully loaded with bikes dog etc.

I don't think it drives any different from the day we took delivery.

Toyed with the idea of a. G wagon or a fast estate but once concluded that it could only be replaced by another FFRR.

I won't be a guinea pig for the 460 - will wait until at least the first facelift before considering a change.

So the only choice to make is keep the one we have or change to a late 405 with the infotainment upgrades etc - and maybe go 4.4 autobiography.

I wonder how different it would feel - would it be worth the 50k odd to change? Current

With a heavy heart, took ‘the first to see will buy’ for a test drive in the TDv6 today then sold it Big Cry

Deposit paid… due to go next Saturday.

Then got a lecture from another person who had rang wanting to come and see it today as well, by which time it was already sold, much to their displeasure. Shocked

Search now on for a replacement…

Well, that’s us RRlsss for the first time in 10 years (2 x L322 and 1 X L405 back to back)… car went off to a good new home this afternoon.

It has been a first class vehicle. Cannot fault it, loved it in fact but… the longer we kept it that cost to change was getting bigger and bigger and so, all good things come to an end. Fond memories Thumbs Up
