first l322 3.0d and 4.4 bmw enginrs had simple single piston brake systems. Later was upgraded to 4 piston front brakes. Last years was 6 poston front brakes. |

I’m pretty certain your car will have the ATE brake system, mine does. I had the same problem as you initially and resolved it by photographing each of the old brake pads as l removed them so that l would know which ones to buy in the future.
