2004 L322 TD6 brake system type

Hello there
I'm started working on my car due to a "Low Coolant Level" message received followed by a visual inspection that reveals a leak under the car. Since I'm waiting for a 32 wrench for removing the fan I've removed also the windscreen fluid reservoir (due to some leakage when topping up with liquid and also no water to the rear).
Considering the fact that the wheel is removed on left side and I have new brake pads for front, I've removed the old pads and surprise, the ones that I've buy are not matching.
Long story short, I found some info that on L322 Td6 are at least 2 types of brakes: Teves or ATE (and maybe some others).
Is there a way to identify the brake type that I have on my car?

Nice to know that, thank you. Still remain the question, is there a way to know the original name of the system?
If I go to dealers I see on brake pad description that is ATE or TEVES, and without removing the old part how to know which one we have.

I’m pretty certain your car will have the ATE brake system, mine does. I had the same problem as you initially and resolved it by photographing each of the old brake pads as l removed them so that l would know which ones to buy in the future.
Not ideal l know but it works for me.
The only way l found l had ATE brakes was to compare the parts l removed with those available from suppliers.

For info ATE = Teves = Alfred Teves = Continental Teves. They're all the same company. Paul,
