Driving Licence renewal at 70

Renewing online means I would lose a couple of entitlements C1 and D1 to be specific, D1 is a minibus so thats not a problem, have never driven one and don't intend to start now. However C1 specifies weights and a trailer and is confusing, does C1 apply in any way to me driving a RR and pulling a trailer.

I have looked online but I actually got even more confused - not difficult when you're my age Rolling with laughter Geoff

It would be best if you got a medical done, it's the same as a truck driver's cost should be no more than £55 you can get the sight test done before you go for the medical for free at Specsavers.
You need to get the form from the post office and fill in your details on every page.
My doctor wanted to charge me £105 so I just went online and found a company that does it.

D4Drivers is who I used.

I think you're fine. C1 is a vehicle of over 3.5 tonne + trailer, category B covers a vehicle and trailer with plenty of weight capacity for a RR. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

I am in a similar, though a bit older Cool , age group. My licence gives me BE

“ Category BE
You can drive a vehicle with a MAM of 3,500kg with a trailer. The size of the trailer depends on the BE 'valid from' date shown on your licence. If the date is: before 19 January 2013, you can tow any size trailer within the towing limits of the vehicle.”

All the categories on the back of my licence show a start date of 28.10.75 although I did pass my driving test long before.

If you have similar, at least before 2013, then you should get BE which, with the RR, would let you tow up to 3.5T.
