I have not been on the site for a while and have had no contact with my dealer so was unaware my HSE ordered Dec21 with Meridian 3D sound system is now around £5k expensive and will be downgraded to the base Meridian standard sound system

It really is getting hard to retain a positive attitude towards JLR and a vehicle I had been excited about when I ordered it

Have been told by my dealer that I will be reimbursed £1200 for the downgrade from the HSE system to the base system.

I am actually satisfied by that.

Given that this thread is now almost a month old, I'm surprised my dealer still hasn't told me about this downgrade. Makes me wonder what else I'm not being told! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I’m in the same position but was offered £500 and I haggled a few other discounts.

Would you mind sharing whether the £1200 was offered or negotiated, and which dealer group you are buying from? MY23 D350 HSE

Hi Phil, I had also £1,200 from Signature to 3D on an Autobiography. Below the text from the dealer:

Your vehicle move from Meridian™ Signature Sound System (025LV) to Meridian™ 3D Surround Sound System (025MN) as standard. There will be a £1,200 contribution to the vehicle because of the changes.

I had received this after asking them from what I heard, so they didn't come from themselves.

Do all the sound systems have active noise cancelling? Geoff

Hi Phil, I am purchasing from Lookers West London.

I have a friend who works at JLR and the £1200 should be offered to all customers who have ordered a HSE and whose sound system is being downgraded as the discount is coming straight from JLR. I had to request what the discount was going to be from my dealer under the premise that my bank need to know to ensure the finance is correct.

Hi Phil, if you don’t mind me asking have you got a HSE on order and it is being downgraded to the standard Meridian system? I have heard that if you have an SE and have ordered a 3D surround then you should be reimbursed the upgrade cost.

I believe that I may have been misinformed from my dealer then. I suppose this is all part of the Range Rover purchasing experience. £500 is a joke and £1200 for the AB and FE is an even bigger joke considering they charge so much to upgrade to these systems.

Just want my car now before they start taking even more spec off it and putting up the price. I wish I had ordered 2 now so I could sell the second and give JLR the middle finger.

Good question from Supershuttle / Geoff - Does anyone know the answer to his question as follows:

"Do all the sound systems have active noise cancelling?"

The 3D has ‘low’ ANC but in my opinion it’s not noticeable at all. The loss of the speakers in the headrests is the real issue with the downgrade in my view.

Standard Meridian has no ANC.
