I wish I could upload a video onto here for the latest little modification. I got this exhaust system for my V8 which it sounded lovely, then I ended up owning the exhaust system again, and now it is on Matty.

I am starting to love this car again.

Lee Houghton (LH Engineering), these were made for the 4.4 Petrol so I had to get 2 custom made reducers made up to fit on the TD6.

Matty is back on the road, using it in the equivalent of access height as the suspension still needs an electronic repair ๐Ÿ˜‚ but luckily I only need to do relatively short journeys as it is only really used to commute and get to meetings. Just need to get my hands on a bcm ending 22 under the passenger seat and now the lcm I was selling is going on this as it has packed up ๐Ÿ˜‚. But really is nice being back behind the wheel of it again although it is only full time for 1 month as 1 of my Discoveryโ€™s is being fixed this week and motโ€™d by the end of the month and I will be using that more.

My favourite hateful neighbour was horrified when she saw I still had this ๐Ÿ˜‚

I had a fight with Matty and put him up for sale for a bit, I had quite a bit of interest, but decided he can stay for now.

Because of the suspension and I believe a driveshaft has popped out of the diff, I had him recovered from my house back to the yard as I have got to bring an RRS home that I need to sell.

However, thanks to me being a bellend in my Astra and my partner was the same in his Mini, we made the entrance area to the yard sheet ice Whistle Rolling with laughter So the recovery agent was not able to get enough grip to bring the recovery truck in and dropped Matty out on the road, and on the way in, I couldn't resist, foot flat to the floor and sideways across the front Rolling with laughter That instantly reminded me why I should keep him.

Saturday afternoon I have got to change the cats on my old V8 for its current owner, then I have to fix 1 more car before I can get Matty in the air and see what is wrong with him.

I am going to remove the new air strut and refit it and see if the person who fitted it has done something like fold the air pipe going into the strut.

I also have the L405 style side vents from my old V8 as the owner though they were too blingy which will be replacing the horrible chrome ones on this one.

Just a thought - are you sure the lack of communication to the suspension ecu and stuff isnt being caused by one of the other things on the canbus circuit bringing it all down?

On my early td6, I had one hec of a problem with either my gap or hawkeye connecting to any ecu, until I discovered (took ages) that the headlight ECU was stopping it. I physically disconnected the plugs at the back of the headlights, which allowed my connection with the diag, and all was fine. I plugged the lights back in and it was still fine, but if I needed to connect the diag again, I had to remember to pull the light plugs again.

I thought I had already said that is the case. The BCM under the passenger seat and now the LCM are both faulty. Right now Matty is back at the yard resting for Christmas as I simply CBA to do anything with him for the minute. Plus I broke my ribs and ankle as well as multiple other injuries 3 days ago when I fell into a leaf covered pothole in addition to a current Kidney stone. So totally out of action at least until Friday.

After I had another hissy fit and stuck this up for sale, I changed my mind again and I am keeping it.
It is now back on its original plates again, and I have changed the Grill AGAIN Rolling with laughter

But I am moving business premises this week so literally driving it to the new site and parking it up for a few months as I am back in my Discovery anyway.

Not a lot has been happening as a lot has been going on, now moved business premises and heavily on the spanners with customers cars, but today I was able to spend the afternoon on my own projects. Matty only got a side vent change at the as I had 5 minutes left at the end of the day as I am changing the turbo on my Freelander at the moment.

Next weekend I plan on getting Matty up, and properly diagnosing all the current issues. But no likely to be back on the road until the summer as it isn't a priority right now. But I do have the BCM and LCM ready to go on.

Matty's looks are starting to evolve, Thanks to the person I sold my V8 to having some misfortune with it in the end, I have ended up with the nudge bar, spoiler and a few other bits for mine.

I wasn't going to have a nudge bar, But I think it actually suits it.

I have been ram packed with working on everyone elses cars but mine, I haven't been able to get my own done yet.

After a long mental battle, I decided to keep Matty.

He donated his battery to my 6 series which I sold today, so he has no battery right now, but I have fitted the nudge bar properly now. Only because it is going to upset a certain con man every day he see's it on the road. Further more, Matty is going to be getting the FKU reg plate once he is back on the road.

Sadly this project will be slow going as I still have to prioritise other vehicles.
