Mine doesnt quite sit right. The thin plastic allows the two ends to flex, therefore sit slightly proud in places.
Not really a massive eyesore so not in a rush to fix it… but I know its there so it bugs me.

You could hide the switch behind an uncut vent panel, If you did need to switch off the steps before you get the right bit you just need to select "Mud Ruts" on the terrain control and it stops them operating?

just a thought,

you dont 'have' to put the switch in the roof panel...it could go anywhere, front console/inside arm rest cubby/right of steering wheel/???? ... - .- -.

Cheers cass and Stan for your thoughts. The button is in place and tbh I haven’t really noticed the poor fit, so will leave it as is… but will continue to keep an eye out for its proper replacement.

They are both good shouts and may benefit others in the future Thumbs Up Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Do you mean the hole i cut for the button?
I found that the clips were pushing the ends down as the middle section was too weak. I may give that a go however… but am wary that I am close to them breaking. Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8
