Holding 4th gear…

Hi all I’ve notice today even when the car is up to temperature it’s going smoothly into gears as expected but stops at fourth and I was going downhill feathering the loud peddle over 3000rpm and it would not go into 5th - if I pull the paddle it goes to 5th and 6th no issue and stays there…

Any ideas it did it all the way in an hour drive this morning? No faults Current stable:

Gone:

Depending on how steep the hill is it will hold gears to control speed. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Yes, that is normal. I have the same, mine keept 6th and 7th quite long, up to 10km. It depends of gearbox temp., not the engine.

I found the issue looks like my tyre monitor isn’t working I was driving around with 12psi in the passenger tyre 🤦‍♂️ it took air and was fine think I will take to the garage to check I’ve not wrecked it next week though Current stable:
