The radiator fan is mechanically coupled via a viscous clutch to the aux belt so even if there is an electrical failure it will still run. If the fan is not working check the belt and viscous coupling. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Il problema di surriscaldamento compare solo quando sono in off road (bassa velocità e motore sotto sforzo).

The fault code points to an an electrical failure and specificaly a break in the circuit so trace it with a multimeter. I'm assuming that the fan spins but as Phoenix says it won't spin fast enough under load and low speed.

The DTC suggests that there is no, or a high-resistance connection between the engine control module and pin 'D' on the fan connector, also check for a good ground connection on pin 'B' although if that was a concern, I'd expect to see DTC's related to lack of fan speed signal. |

It could still be the viscous coupling assembly, but you need to check the wiring mentioned above to eliminate that as the cause first. |
