United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Orkney Grey
lights in mirrors

i have just noticed that ther are lights fitted in the underside of the mirrors, when and how do these come on?

sorry if this is a dumb question, but if you don't ask and all that!! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Adriatic Blue

They come on whenever you unlock the car as far as I have noticed. Then go out again when engine starts I think. FFRR TD6 HSE

No worries mate. It could be a loose connection or I could be wrong. Mines 2002 so they may have changed the functions on later year models. FFRR TD6 HSE

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

My mirror lights come on when unlocking the car. They are puddle lights, to help you not stepping into a puddle. Haven't checked but expect them to come on in the dark as well (headlights on or on automatic). Also if you stop and push the indicator stalk forward, the headlights and the other lights stay on for some time (40 secs I think) to help you find your way towards your house etc.

First check the light bulbs, they may have gone and then start checking for the more difficult stuff Wink

Don't know if there are settings that control the lights coming on in certain conditions. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

i bet they have never been changed, they come on when you unlock the car, change them for a pair of led T10 bulbs V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
