I had an F Pace 3.0 V6 diesel in Portfolio spec. A nice car and, if I’d never had a FFRR I’d probably still have it. I swapped my L322 for it in 2017, but only kept it a year because I missed the FFRR driving experience. You sit low in the F Pace and there’s nowhere to comfortably rest your arm as the door card is high up and not flat. They hold the road brilliantly though and for a big car, they go like a stabbed rat. This is mine in the Jag pit at the old Reims GP circuit

I second the F-Pace. My Dad has one and it's a great vehicle. Considering what it is, you really can throw it into corners and it sticks. Great cars. Kev

OF the two, I’d choose and F Pace. It would have to be a facelift car as the interior in the original is unacceptable for a car of that price imo. I looked at one when I had a 5 series and it felt like a big step backwards in many ways. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Second that. Also, the InControl plus system fitted to my F Pace drove me mad. It never worked properly. Apparently the more recent upgrades have sorted that. |

Found it, thanks very much. Went yesterday for a browse, but only had the 2.0 Diesel. Smart enough inside mind. |

I still recall the look on the salesman’s face when he tried to get me interested in a 4 pot diesel F Pace when I was looking seriously. I said something like real Jags had a minimum of six cylinders, so if he wanted to sell me a car, he’d better stop offering me a rep’s special. I then queried why I couldn’t have the spec I wanted with the s/c 3.0 petrol. To be fair, on the latter point he said I wasn’t the only one to ask that, but Jaguar themselves had decided that all s/c cars had to have sports seats and go faster trim. From his point of view it was nuts, because he was losing customers at the top of the price range who wanted the more luxurious trim but fancied a pokey s/c engine. You could get that spec and engine combo on the Velar (basically the same car) but it came in at £20k more than the Jag and pretty much FFRR money. |
